you think them flowmasters look like crap on the outside? everytime i put a car or truck on a lift for work at the dealer i work at you can shake the exhaust and hear the rattling inside from the rusted out walls of the chambers if the thing is over about two years old and i work in alabama where there is almost never snow and no such thing as salt on the roads.

Not surprised about the Flowmaster
Life has been a little crazy the past two years.

1. Moved to the city (Denver) from a small mountain town
2. started a new job
3. had a little girl
4. got married
5. bought a house
6. Got my Master Plumbing license
7. started my own Plumbing company www.copipeworks.com
8. and now my wife is pregnant with twins

so that should be enough to justify why you might not have seen me around for a while. But every once and a while I make it into off topic

Exhaust, after the cat, makes water vapor. It's not the design or the mfg. It's the enviroment the exhaust is subjected too!

I just had one fail in the same place. I will never have another Flowmaster with the way that one rusted out. I replaced it with a stainless steel 18 in Magnaflow. Much better sound with no 60 mph drone and I feel a little bit of performance difference too.

my father has had a 40 series on his silverado for 6 years and no problems at all still looks pretty good too so i went with one on my ram mainly because i didnt know how a glasspack or straight pipe would sound on a single exit exhaust

Imo, flowmaster has a 2 great qualities, price, and sound, but you get what you pay for. Sure they rust, but for the money? well worth it. till mine are still going strong btw.they rust.lol.

Most of the people I know here in central PA that have FM have only got 2 to 3 years out of them before they rust.

You caught that did ya! Yeah, still got to represent the 4x4 community. I am still a small outfit, but I have a couple good contractors. We just got done doing a kitchen remodel of David Duvals house. And I just did the underground for Ben Walton of the Wal*mart family.
