Yep like i said its a bad example BUT with the 114-3lsa its very easy to tune and some have been able to idle using SC3815 91 tune and Hypertech. Running good is another story + the additional mods you are going to need to compliment the cam + 7k shifting. Yep mine is coming out lol.

Superchips will not do a custom tune. You can ask around but any cam that needs to have the idle adjusted to run is basically out of the picture. If its just a fuel trim and timing issue I am fairly sure thathe dsp can do that for you but that's about it.

 

Its all been said a few times but I dont think it is sinking in. The biggest thing holding you back is your 2003 PCM in that truck.

You cannot do ANY custom tuning worth tuning.

So forget any cam less than 114 LSA. You are just going to kick yourself in the rear and want to shoot yourself.

It cant get any more simple or clear that than.

The ONLY way to successfully and fully custom tuned is to swap out your 2003 PCM/TCM with an 04+ setup.

LOTS of people have asked about it. NO ONE has done it because NO ONE is sure it will work.

I am about to do a PCM/harness swap and as far as i know, I will be the first. If it works I will be better off. If it doesnt work then I will have blown a lot of money for the gear.

So stick with a cam at 114+ LSA.

That means Superchips if your best bet as a tuner.
