I think it's more of a problem when a torque wrench is used to get some kind of exact figure during installation. If you do it by the "that feels right" method you should be fine. Nearly every car I've owned in the last 20 years has had aluminum heads so I don't even think about it anymore.

Just be thankful you don't own a Ford 5.4 liter

yeah dont be flustered at all, even though a little dab'll do ya its not going to hurt anything to have more than needed and ignore anyone who tells you otherwise!
i mean unless you put a half ounce on each thread lol! which im sure you did not.

Hahahahah, I feel better now guys.

It isn't like I dipped them in the bucket of anti-seize or anything, but I did put some all the way around the start of the threads.
