Default Rpm fluctuations, and a stall.

So Ive noticed that when im at idle my rpms can go anywhere from 200-600.

Sometimes it will be a steady 500 or a steady 200, other times it will bob back and forth and back and forth. What could be causing this?

Also I just started my truck up in a parking lot, came to a stop sign and stalled when I came to a stop.

Truck is a ram 1500 06 5.7 thanks mates!

Also I am not getting a CEL

I have cleaned tb, as well as put in new plugs.

Sounds like it could use a TB clean. A Sea Foam treatment might do some good, too. May also be time for plugs. How many miles?

Betcha it needs plugs. By the book, it's 40K late, unless the PO did it/had it done already. And FYI, there are sixteen. You might want to pull a few of them and check the gap. The other two tasks are fairly easy. I'd suggest a complete fluids change, unless you know they were done recently. Peace-of-mind thing, you know.

Don't spray it in the intake, just spray it on a cloth and wipe it clean. The sensors don't like any type of cleaner very much (or so I'm told)

My truck started doing the same thing a few weeks ago. I have had it die at idle before and it was the IAC, idle air control, motor which is a small part connected to the back of the throtle body mounted with just two screws so its a easy repair. After going through my Haines manual i read that the EGR valve can also cause rough idleing along with a vaccume leak so i would check your vaccume hoses and listen for a hissing sound which is a sign of a vaccume leak. I haven't replaced any of these parts yet as i was hopeing to find some answers on here that might confirm what i've read. I am going to check prices tommorrow and replace what i can afford and will reply back to let you know if it fixes the problem. I hope someone else can comment about our problem with some other ideas on fixes. Good luck and let us know if cleaning the throtle body helped.

Chrysler issued a TSB - do not use carb cleaner or TB cleaner. Use non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Remove the TB and spray the inside and the back of the butterfly. Scrub it with a toothbrush, just don't get any into the motor housing. There are no sensors in the throttle body.
