Default Need help doing mods to my 2002 5.9

So i got like $5000 to spend on my truck and the first thing i want to do is a programer what is my best option? I need one that i can change as i do more up grades. I have done headers, CAI, I am going to pull the cat out It is a SLT Sport so it has a larger exhaust. and I did the high flow muffler I am going to do the power wire thing that i read about on here. I have done a shift kit. I want to do either a super charger or turbo charger dont know what one yet that will be the last thing that i do. I dont really care how fast the truck goes dont really pull anything. i just want instant power off the line TB Risier? any and all input would be great. O and i want to do a small lift like 3 inches is all or a leveling kit but dont know what one is better? Thanks.

TB Spacer will do nothing. Supercharger or turbo on a stock 5.9 is a bad idea unless you are going to upgrade heads, intake etc. There is a FAQ section that might be able to help you. If you want to go fast, lifting is not a good idea. Im sure some of the other guys wil chime in soon with more info...

Computer upgrade, exhaust, gearing, cam for starters. The 360 is capable of over 400hp easy when setup right. Problem is, emissions and electronic controls on those engines aren't setup for that.

how bad will a cam mod hurt MPG? as far as emissions go i got a buddy that figured a way around things like the second O2 sencer on the cat so that it wont trip the light or anything. I am looking forward to that one and 400 hourse power is my target number. i am not looking to go fast 65 is the speed limit anyway. i just want lots of right now power at any RPM / speed.. but at the same time changing the gears something i really dont want to do. as far as the turbo goes i am going to change every thing over to 3/4 ton and have my buddy put in a tranny that will handle it. thanks for all you input please keep it comeing as i am still just trying to learn what will or can work.

you can do the poorman TB upgrade, cut the ports out of your Kegger, has your plenum plate been changed yet?. Put in some roller rockers an e Fan. Best is to jump on the second Gen page and see what the guys are doing over there.

well i thought the 2002 1500 was 3rd gen? anyway for sinus 19 i am going to do a motor swap when this one dies and then i will do the cam. I was wondering about the E Fan how much diff does it make for the money I am still trying to decide on what programer to get i have heard a lot of good things about the superchips?

02 1500 is 3rd gen, but the 5.9 was in production the longest in 2nd gens, they've been figuring out what to do to them for years.
