I love the SRT wheels and want these pictured below. I have stock 20's now and cant decide between 20's or going to 22's. If I stick with 20's I can save money and swap my tires. What do you guys think of 22's, and how they'll ride on the rough city streets? I know 22's will handle better on the back roads, but 20's will take more abuse and ride smoother. Help me decide...

By the way, they're going on my 05' 1500 Hemi/Laramie

 

If it were me, I would do the 22s simply because thats what the SRTs came with. However, if funds are tight then smaller rims and tires may be better suited. Also, the smaller the rim and tire, the lighter and less centrifugal force and rotating mass is applied when it comes to speed.

 

Go with the 22" rims. You will not regret it. I notice a little bit of a rougher ride if I hit a pothole or something but there is still plenty of tire for cushion. I went with wider tires as well and the truck handles and performs much better than it did with the stock 20" rims and tires.

Why and where is the 2" inch drop? Is it in the rear, for looks or better traction and handling?

 

if ya got the money, go 22's. Either way they look nice on the trucks. I keep my 08 Chrome clad 20's because they are easier to clean. Not so many nook and crannies to clean

in the rear 2" shackle drop it will lower center of gravity a bit hence a bit better in cornering and for less than $70

 

My picture in the signature was before the 2" drop. Yes, they are shackles that attach the leaf springs (in the rear) to the frame.
I put them on for looks to get rid of some of the empty space in the wheel well but they have helped some with handling.
