Unhappy Need a new engine, please help me find one

Well the harmonizer went on my engine yesterday and now I'm looking at a crank job. Was wondering if anyone has dealt with accurateengines.com before? If so how was the service and were you happy with the product? Or if anyone else knows of a good place in Canada to order a crate motor it would be much appreciated.

I would suggest looking on Ebay for a good used low mileage one. There are many sellers who will ship palletized crates your way.

Thanks for the info, but I just didn't have the time to wait on the shipping so I ended up just getting the motor pulled and had a new tone wheel put on.

Not to hi-jack this thread, but can we open this to diesels...

Can we get a diesel in a 1500? (5.9L of course).

you can put one in a 1500 but you would have to beef up your suspention in the front and you would need a new tranny etc........, might be easier to find a 2500 with the CTD in it.

I know the 5.9L CTD is 500 - 600 pounds heavier (depending on the year)., wouldn't new front suspension take care of that (kinda like the suspension lift).

Tranny wise, there shouldn't be a problem, unless your gonna put your foot in it at every stop light.

I like the set up of my 1500, and getting all these features in a 2500 would be hard to find.

The real question is, is there a shop willing to do this sort of thing, and do it right, by switching the PCM, and getting the gauges right?
