Default 2006 megacab exhasut ???'s

Just got a 2006 megacab and im looking for a quick and inexpensive way to make it loud! Thinking of putting a flowmaster 44 on it. Anyone have one of these on the mega? if so do you know what the configuration needs to be (off set in and center out?) Thought of maybe a magnaflow but still up in the air.

Welcome to the forum o.o/
If all you want is loud, get the Rustmasters; but if you want performance and a nice overall sound that won't give you a headache as you're cruising, then go with the Magnaflows. Hands-down.

I had the Flowmaster 50HD and have replaced a LOT of various Flowmasters for friends (and a member or two on here). They rust pretty damn quick and almost every one I've ever heard (including my old one) droned pretty bad in the cab. You also sacrifice a good bit of flow due to the chambered design. Except for the drone, they do sound aggressive though.

If you want CHEAP, with a great CFM rate and real aggressive sound, it's hard to beat glasspacks. Although my Cherry Bomb Extreme (had I paid for it, LOL) is only about a $50 muffler and sounds mean as hell! So much so, that my neighbors go to bed at night praying I decide to take my Grand Cherokee out in the early mornings and not my truck (LMAO)...

Cut-outs really do offer the best of both worlds, but you gotta watch anymore in inspection states (plus the OP said "CHEAP" and electric cut-outs are not cheap). I have a cousin bought a set in upstate NY and he got a "FAIL" on emission inspection because they OFFERED the possibility of by-passing the cats. He had to remove them (which wasted a $650 exhaust job between the cut-outs and install) and then had to turn around and pay $350 to have them taken out and piping put back in...

thats true but i live in New Mexico so they could care less and i would do it behind the cats anyways. The general excuse ive heard for cutouts is" i use the cutout for racing and i keep it closed on the street" i went to a local exhaust shop and they quoted me $200 for an electric cutout

Houseman- Which Magnaflow muffler did you go with? I have #12198 (14", SI/DO) on my Hemi Ram and it is awesome.
