Spark plug fav for hemi
Ok so I'm bout to throw some new plugs in. On my last ram (03 3.7) I put in these ridiculous e3 diamond fires for 10$ a piece but that was just a waste of money and def not putting 16 at 10$ in the 05 hemi. So my question is what's your favorite spark plug been from past experience??
^^
same here NGK's
it has been pretty well documented that there is little to no gains seen by going to the platinum and iridium or other $$$ plugs. The hemi's like the good ol' copper plugs, just change them every 30K and you should be golden. Upside is that copper plugs are cheap, usually $1.60 each or so. Down side, you have to change them more frequently, but it really isn't that hard if you plan accordingly and have the proper tools.

I've tried a few different types over the years and found the OEM plugs, or NGK equivalent offered the best performance and least issues overall. The Hemi just seems to like it's plain 'ol copper plugs, and seems to enjoy them being replaced every 30K. I do recommend using anti-seize on the threads....and dialectic grease on the boots. Makes the task much easier next time.
Hi there, I guess it's time to change the spark plugs on my '06 Ram Hemi, since it's sitting at 92K. The dealership said to use platnums, but after looking at this forum, I guess I should be using good 'ol copper core NGK's?
Only thing I don't like about that is then having to change them every 30K.
Other then using anti-sieze and grease on the boots, does anyone have any other tips, or special tools to make it easier? Should be interesting changing the ones close to the master brake cylinder.
Thanks,
