Chryler oil filter, only been on for 6-7 months. I plowed snow in the winter in Ma. (big storms, lots of salt and sand) and moved down to PA. in April and parked it on the grass. (i didn't notice the oil on the grass) But yesterday after hearing the news, i checked and there was a spot plus a line pulling away.
This actal happened to one time before about 3 years ago in the winter time, i started up the truck and went back into the house for something and when i came out I saw the oil pouring out of the oil filter, bought it right in and had it fixed. which was also a chryler oil filter.
So the mopar filter rusted through in 7 months due to road salt and sand?
agreed. like i said, i dont see that happening personally. maybe it got a small hole knocked in it. id have to see a picture of the filter personally for me to believe rust ate through it.
