I have a ram 1500 quad cab 5.7L. everything is stock besides K&N air filter and I put 35s on with 17in wheels. My system says i was 10-12mpg before now i get around 13. I am still looking to improve the millage with a cold air intake and exhaust, any ideas or help on what has worked?

What year is the truck? With 35's, you can actually gain some mpg by going to 4.56 gears. It will be costly and take forever to gain back your money in gas savings.
A programmer such as Diablosport or Superchips. Diablo now has a MPG tune that seems to have helped mine. I was up to 19mpg in mixed driving, but I am now taking a hit due to winter blend gas and colder temps causing a little richer mixture.

Start drafting tractor trailers....haha
I have a Superchips tuner with improved transmission shifts that I created. I have an '08 with mds disabled, stock tire size, and I get 14mpg mixed. Generally 11-12city when I'm rough or towing/15-16highway
I have a commuter car I use to save on gas. Even with the cost of insurance and the car itself, I still save money for the gas I would have spent on the truck. That means the car has paid for itself, so in reality...I have a free car just because I drove it for a year.
Buying a tuner for sole purpose of saving mpg's is not what I would reccomend. The added performance benfits along with some mpg's is what makes it worth it. Without the trans tuning, I actually lost mpg's going to a tuner. Raising the shift points brought me back up to stock mpg's AND gave me added performance and ****ing improvements.

It's kinda funny that guys around here are commenting about bad mileage. I didn't buy my truck for the mpg's and don't think most people do. Bought it for the looks, power, capability, the mileage was the last thing on my mind. I don't mind getting only 12 mpg. If I wanted a car that gets good mileage, woulda bought a butt ugly prius. Just my 2 cents.
