Default Can anybody identify this mod?

I recently stumbled upon this picture over at cummins forums, and I can not for the life of me find the name of them:

If anybody could tell me what the name of the mod (the tail gate support bar-ish thing) I would greatly appreciate it.

Not sure of the technical term, but they are just bed supports to stop the fenders from eventually wobbling due to offroading and/or driving with no tailgate.

Offroading causes the box to flex and weakens the metal. This causes the sides to flap while driving down the road. Same thing goes for driving with no tailgate, since there is no tailgate to support the fenders from wobbling, they will eventually weaken the metal that suports them.

For a street truck, they are useless and get in the way. Since there is no gain in driving with no tailgate, there is no gain for those bars. People drove with no tailgate or with them down because they thought or think it saves them on gas. They are incorrect. We all know about Mythbusters who disproved that myth. Just search the internet about it.

I know that's the reason and that's why I want them, haha. I just can't find the technical term for them

SLT8,
Did you get them from the forum itself?

Oh, also, that is the most clever name I've seen to date, haha

Yes. The forum user is Heimz whom i believe made them.

Wanted a custom emblem but did not want to step on the SRT and RT crowd. Took it off though when i had the truck wrapped but kept the username.

I'm loving that badge. Really puts our trucks into a different class, haha. It's awesome because it isn't a lie.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you have them on yours if you are lowered?

I live on 4-5 miles of unpaved dirt roads (Price to live in a quiet rural non governed HOA :P) so it helps with flex when i drive without a tailgate which is about 80% of the time.

Ah I see..

Well I contacted Heimz over at DTX and he said he's making some in a few weeks, so I'll grab me some.

Thanks again SLT,

Wish i would of had a set of these awhile ago when my tailgate was stolen and went off roading. Now my bedsides are loose even with a new tailgate. hopefully getting a new bed in a few weeks though.
