Personally if you put headers on hold then just replace the Y and put the rest into 4.56's. vroom vroom.

When I bought my Pacesetters, for some reason they did not offer stainless in ceramic coating, so I bought them uncoated and had a local coating shop do it. Glad I went that route, cost was a little more, but the coating is the thickest I've ever seen on a header.

BTW, I wouldn't even touch an exhaust unless I was gonna weld it. Clamps suck ***** and always leak at some point...

Shouldn't the ceramic coating help the rust factor?

If they are a full coating (inside and out) they should never rust as long as the coating doesn't fail.

That's what I thought. So in that case the material shouldn't matter to much.

Nice pic hammer. True trkn but not all coating is the same either. If I am gonna do headers I want to do them right. And hammer r u saying that even if you had gone shorties you would still weld no matter what ? Is the factory exhaust welded ?

WHat shocks do you like to run by the way guys. I know yours is raised hammer and not lowered. But for you all with the lowered trucks what shocks did you switch to ? I am thinking the belltech nirto 2 drop shocks. I dont know what the difference is between the drop shocks and there street performance series. So if you are knowledgable on that subject as well I am def open. Cause I wanan buy the shocks with the lowering kit when I do it.

YUUUUP.

Even most stainless headers will rust up north, that are only T409. Ceramic coated anything is good for protection and heat dissapation. Cearmic coating reduces exhaust chamber temps as well as underhood temps. Stainless helps in reduces temps as well, but not as much.
My JBA's have surface rust on them. They call it "discoloration" but it's a light layer of surface corrosion but shouldn't ever never rust through.
Take the savings and use the money towards other mods.
