Default Superchip w/out Plenum Gasket Fix

I just want to see what everyone thinks but anyway I am wanting to buy a Superchip because I have death flash but I haven't fixed the plenum gasket problem because my truck does seem to have it blown out yet or not bad cause my truck doesn't use oil and from what I have read it will use oil if it's blown out so my question is what you think about me Superchip my truck with out plenum fix?

I will fix plenum if it is blow out I prefer not to do it if not needed

IMHO I wouldn't do without a mod I wanted because of a flaw in the engine design. Yes, the added HP may blow out the plenum sooner, but if it does, it was going to go out sooner or later anyway.

The Hughes kit is only about $120 to fix the issue for good...

Ya I forgot to post I was sitting around talking to my gpa he knows a lot more about motors than me and said same thing just to fix it anyway so I don't have to worry about it later on

My next question is how hard is the install of the kit I am somewhat familiar with motors but no genius....?

Yeah I have an 02 as well and was looking into getting a superchip tuner. Are they worth the money? I know it has been feeling a little sluggish and definitely with the 5.9 not getting the best gas millage, only about 12 hwy and 8 city. Do they even help that much with the millage like they claim on superchips website?

From what I have read they do but also people say they enjoy the power so are always getting on it, plus I'm sure it depends a lot on driver and where they drive cuz I'm not going to lie in a very aggressive driver and if it says 25mph I'm doing about 40mph haha so I only get about same as you 8city and highway I can usually get about 17highway

Yeah I was really considering one right now because I have to take a long road trip in a couple of weeks (about a 12 hour drive) and wanted to see if a tuner would be nice to have before that.

Yeah I am a pretty aggressive driver as well and definitely don't do that good in the city, but thats crazy your getting 17hwy. I maybe get at most 13 and that's with cruise on the majority of the time

I only get 17 if the stars are lined up perfectly and the wind to my back haha but I even got up to about 19-20 highway once or twice but average I would say about 14-15 highway
