rims?

Okay well after the tire shop messed up multiple times the order of my tires and rims finally came in. I got the Dick Cepek dc2 17x9. They told me the rims don't clear the caliper. I thought 17's were the smallest size you could fit. This rim has a large negative offset. Anyone know why these don't fit?

Right, it's a large positive offset that would be an issue. Sounds like your specs are almost identical to mine.
I'd find out specifically why they think the don't fit and if it doesn't add up, find another shop.
I assume you have the right bolt pattern...

Exactly what I said Greg. Finally home after all of that. After a long discussion with the tech about how the rims would not clear the calipers at all he told me my truck would not fit a 17. I told him, really annoyed at this point, to go look at the sticker on my door which says my truck came with stock 17x8. Shut him up right away then said they may have ordered the wrong rim...won't ever be going back to them. They're currently sorting it out

Either they don't know what they are doing or they got the wrong size.
I was hoping my tire guy would mount my tires up and have them ready to throw on when I got there. But, to his credit, he waited to make sure everything fit like it should before putting it all together without the truck there. Nothing ever seems to happen fast when I go there but it appears to be for good reason.
No reason a 17" rim with at least a 4.5" backspace shouldn't fit unless you have some aftermarket stuff under there.
