Major Teaser!!!!
Yep thats right i just did that. Stay tuned over the next few months as i begin my first audio build. Some specs sofar will be a custom fitted fiberglass box housing two 10's, 2 amps, lights and plexi will also be used for a one off custom box. My ultimate goal is for high quality/performance/crispness. I dont want ****ty sounding base or staticy speakers. Can anyone clarify what tweeters are and if i need them? So before i start does anyone have any reccomendations on building boxes, using fiberglass, wiring or type of equipment to use?
Equipment list
alpine speakers and sub
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
Amp-im open for suggestions. i want small but powerfull.
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
Headunit- Eventually a double din will be going in.

So this is it for now but stay tuned for updates.

Yes, you need tweeters, without them you will have no highs. Alot of people like myself mount them outside the speaker, but some leave them mounted to the bass cone. You can mount them in the doors by the side view mirrors. I mounted mine in the front dash as my truck came with the Infinity 7 speaker system and has three mounting points up there. Just make sure that you put the cross-over in-line with the tweeter ( very important ).

heres what i have to work with for space. these are with the seats all the way back and resting on the back of the cab.

ok so i got my speaker rings in today. i also got some torx sockets so i could remore the seatblets to get the side panels off. I also took off the back wall. Looking back now i probly could have take it off by just removing the 1 torx screw behind each of the 3 hooks, instead of pulling off the side panel. I would have started cutting and fitting mdf but it was to damn hot.
