Default How do I quiet this HEMI down?

I purchased a 2007 1500 HEMI Ram a couple of months ago and the exhaust was quite loud. This was kind of cool for a few days but now it is simply annoying and I want to quiet it down. There is one muffler with one inlet and two outlets then both of the outlet pipes split again right before they exit the truck (the last split is obviously simply for looks). I am going to attach four pictures but to give you a heads up, the muffler (unknown brand) is 13" long, 10" wide, with an inlet of approximately 3.25" and two outlets of approximately 2.5". All pipes are welded to the muffler as you will see in the pictures.

What I need to know is what, if any muffler, can I replace the current one with and quiet this thing down without spending a fortune. The replacement muffler could only be about 6" longer than the current one due to space limitations. A reasonable loss of power is totally acceptable to me.

Suggestions appreciated,

Don

You could just get a stock exhaust system.

Shouldn't be too expensive to go "back to stock" with any decent muffler shop.

I would definitely like to keep the "4 pipe appearance". Would a "stock" muffler have two outlets so I could do that?

No but most, if not all, mufflers short of the 4th gen stock muffler that have 2 outlets are going to be loud. Loud and free flowing kind of go hand in hand as far as I know

just put a 24'' magnaflow muffler on it and be done. better flow than stock but still gonna be quite cause its so long. remember the longer the muffle the quiter it will be. also might want to look into haveing them add resonators if thats is still to loud.

Ditto on the 24" mag... Just have the shop splice it in...$150 to $200 for the parts and labor at the most.
Looking at your pics: Your drive shaft is made of steel ...I got a aluminum one on my 06...Is your truck a 4wd or 2500?
