Default 04' 2500....6" lift all around or 6" & 4"?

04' 2500 Hemi. Extended cab with 8" box. Yeah...its a big *** truck. Stock height right now running 35" rubber. Was going to just do a front 2.5" level.....but I really want to lift the whole truck to off set the length visually.
So heres my question... being that the front isnt level at stock ride height, Would I want to go 6" kit for the front and just 4" springs in the rear? in theory this would make the truck completely level no?
Or...just get a 6" kit all around.

ALSO...I dont want to end up with drive line angle and drive shaft length issues. So with a 6" front kit what lifts have drop brackets or whatever to keep front drive line angles happy.
AND...with a 6" rear lift I have to imagine there would be problems with drive shaft length no? But Im thinking with 4" springs that all would be good?

I would love to get some input from you guys on what lifts would be best and why. I wont be off roading with the truck (yeah i know....why lift it?) but its not a garage queen either. Its a daily driver, hunter, occasional field donuts....occasionally driving way too fast on horrible muddy seasonal roads....it hauls plywood, 2x4's, mulch, dirt, or whatever else the Mrs. deems needs to go in the back for the current project at the time.

A 6 inch lift kit will generally lift the front 6 inches and the rear 4 inches giving a level look. A block is what most kits will use in the rear and the front depends on year, engine, and 4x4 or 2WD. If you get a kit it will come with everything you need

Just talked to my buddy who just bought the off road/aftermarket place near me (and the only guy i want working on my truck) he just told me $1800 installed for a 5".

I'm considering also 4" suspension and 3" body.

What brand of lift kit? I'm not too familiar with 5" lift kits. The good brands that I know of only make 4,6 and 7" lifts. But that's not a bad price including the installation. I also had a friend install mine for $500 and then it was $1000 for the lift (used, new it would have been 1600)

Thats a 6 inch superlift. 6 in the front and 4 in the back if i remember it correctly.. Just needed some extended brake lines and a spacer for the center section part of the driveshaft i beleive.. its been a while since i crawled under there.

Idk if it can be done on the pre 06s but for my 08 I just had to swap my front brake lines, no extensions

Well, I'm assuming that becasue you are running 35" tires, you have a 4x4 in which you have SFA. Having that means ALOT eassier to lift. $1800 seems a little steep to me especially for a SFA vehicle. As far as the driveshaft, a good kit will come with either a carrier bearing spacer or a shaft spacer ( goes between the shaft and the pinion ) or both. I also don't know if you plan to stay with 35" meats, but if you do and add a 6" lift it might look a little funny.

Funny with 35's on a 6" lift? Theres one right down the street from me(but short box) even white like mine that looks just fine. dlyter09 has the look I'm going for in his pic.

Ideal would be 38" tires for my size truck on a 6" susp with a 3" body IMHO. But I didnt plan for that when I put the 4:56 gears in it. I now wish I had gone with 4:88 and dealt with a little higher highway RPM's til I could get the bigger tires on there. But the only place within hours of driving that specializes in gears only cost me $1800 cash and I dont wanna pay for a re gear again. Plus driving around on 38" rubber with 4:56 gears would be as bad as driving on 35" rubber with the stock 3:73 gears(awful!) . I can believe guys do that.....run 35" with 3:73...then just add headers, exhaust, programmer, ect....and call it good.
I do pretty good on MPG right now (as good as can be expected from a 2500 hemi) I run 2250 rpm @ 75mph on the highway.

And yes....im in the USA, I have a SFA, and its 4x4. The problem is I'm in upstate NY and there is NO off road type places around anywhere (except this one) Yes it helps that a good friend of mine owns it. But theres no other shops ie: no competition either. It does seem a touch on the steep side....but for my area I was expecting $2500 and its definatley something I have zero desire to tackle myself. I also have a few other friends that own garages with multiple lifts ect....but it doesnt make me want to deal with it myself either.
