Legal tint - not bad

Legal tint - not bad
I had this done to my daughter's 4runner last week. Came out looking good so decided to put it on my Ram as well. Legal max in my state is 35% (with 2% margin of error) on the driver and passenger windows. It used to be one of those little enforced laws but, at least in my part of the state, they are really starting to crack down on the inspection stations and it's a real hassle anymore to get by with darker than legal tint.
Pic is not a perfect representation given the black in the background but, considering that it's still legal, I am happy with how it came out. The other windows being so dark really helps the front windows appear darker when the doors and windows are shut.

All 3 of my vehicles now have the "barely legal" tint and the looks are improved on all of them and it's one thing that actually has a function as well.
In my opinion, if you can go this dark, why have tint laws at all? It's still dark enough that any lowlife can still conceal what they might be packing behind the glass, especially at night. My daughter's previous car was beyond the legal limit and I couldn't find anyone local to inspect it, so I had to take it and have it stripped and redone. Just not worth the hassle to try to go darker. A friend of mine is a DMV inspector and his superiors have even issued him a citation book with instructions to stop and write people up - and pulling people is not really part of his job.
