I'm not too concerned about saving the world. If I can afford gas, I'll pay for it. Even now, at 126.9 in my town (that's like, what 4.60 a gallon for ya 'mericans?) I'd rather pay and get the enjoyment of hearing my engine using all 8 cylinders.

Although I don't drive it everyday for commuting to work, but I get 20 MPG highway if I hold it right at 100km/h. 105 km/h seems to start sucking it down to 17 MPG. But I'm usually not in a hurry in the highway too often. Usually only there on the weekend to and from the lake. Not time crunched. =P

when I got the truck it was about 1 and 1/2 hour drive to get it and it was stock muffler and all. It was getting around 18 mpg on the way home and like 15 city. After I cut the muffler off it got around 11 put that small muffler on there and gained 1.5 mpg so i believe they help a little. I need a truck but if i can get more mpg i'll take it. Just because it a truck doesn't mean it has to get crappy mph if their are ways to improve it and that's what I was asking for.

Jareski not being in a rush is about the only thing that has kept my MPGs at a decent number.

At Marty, like everyone has said you can add all the MPG savers you want on your truck but you will only get maybe 3-4 MPGs more at the cost of your HP/Trq. And if you get to crazy and add every gas saving method you will end up losing MPGs.

Then again, when you are only get 12-15 MPG, then 3-4 extra is a huge difference

Your very right Borggyr But thats very optimistic, and not to mention very very expensive, depending on how you try to get more MPGs.
Efan, A Better way for your intake to breathe, a Better exhaust with more flow is the cheapest ways by far and you get a little extra HP/Trq with it

I went across town to pick up some #3 gauge house wire for a client of mine and was in a HUGE rush because I was due back for a house remodel appointment quote, and I averaged 6 MPG at WOT most of the way there and back. I felt like I had accomplished the impossible.

Almost got as bad mileage as a hummer. I felt proud.

atleast are rams are useful with our MPG, a hummer is a grocery getter and it gets worse mileage then a truck.

Worst I've ever gotten was 1 MPG after sitting in parking garage traffic for an hour. Damn midnight movie premieres lol
