Front view

The two bars that go front the fabtech lift kit on an angle up are going to have a 1/2 skid plate bolted to it. That will be stage 3

Next stage is an outside 1/4 plate that covers the front bumper and a new plate mount. Also a few more crossbars.
Stage 3 is then the big 1/2 inch plate to make a full deflector, so when I run over Hondas i go over them instead of ripping off the IFS settup.

Nice idea but can I ask why you are doing it?

Our trucks seemed to be lacking support in an accident. Instead of buying a road armor bumper, I made and entire reinforcement for frame and bumper for $180.

Plus, given the height of the truck, if a low car hit me head on, the whole IFS setup would be destroyed. So I'm making a deflector plate, lol

You know, for those who believe, some people believe you can speak things into existence.

Those crumple zones are there for YOUR safety.

Believe it or not.

Interesting, I expected a negative response on this forum based off the feedback I got from my driveshaft skidplate and bedlining of my driveshaft.
The guys on my other one loved it, oh well.

Crumple zones may be there for my safety, but the car I hit will have them too. I don't think they'll have enough metal though to stop my ZRV.

This is also the truck I built for survival, that's why this will lead the group followed by the other two

Well I think it's cool. That way when you get offroading in the bush, everything is protected.

I don't think anything negative. I think it's cool. I think it is overkill also though. But I wonder how much weight you are adding? If it is pulling down the front end any also?

Ah, I interpreted wrong, I'm sorry.

It did bring the front down, but I re leveled it by tightening the t bars. I still have more metal going on so it will come down more. Good thing is I can still go up

I like the idea, but looks like you need to work on your welding. Adding more steel doesn't help if the welds don't hold. (opinion based off the only pic I could see the weld clearly enough)
