Ok hemi4109, thanks for your help! According to that site, she's got 3.92 gears w/ Limited Slip.

Now, something's confusing me: It says "AF3 Quad Cab Thunder Road Value Group" but there's no Thunder Road badges on the truck? And I thought TR was only on SLT trucks; my truck only has the hemi and ram 1500 badges?

Oh, wait, of course I would say that....
Do I need to remove the cat(s) and resonator(s) to get a better sound and flow? I'm probably going to put on a cherry bomb or Flowmaster. I had Flowmaster single-chambers in a true dual setup on my old Iroc Camaro and they sounded pretty good. I wonder if anyone here has a hemi with the 10 Series Flowmaster???

No problem. Never heard of that package but odds are someone just removed the badges if it came with them.

I don't know for sure because the Thunder Road was not available here in Texas but, I don't think those trucks had badges. Either way, they were likely taken off. Same thing with some of the REAL Lone Star Rams down here.

Don't remove the cats, especially on a truck this new and one that you've just bought. Just chop the exhaust cat back and run new pipe. And please don't go with a Flowmaster, or Chokemaster as we 2nd gen guys call them. They actually have a lower CFM rating than most of the factory mufflers. Get an Aeroturbine, Magnaflow, or cheaper option, Thrush Turbo. I've got the Thrush on mine and it sounds good, flows well, and is cheap ($25). Really mellow idle, louder low-mid RPM, and has authority at full throttle. I had one of my friends stand next to the pipe and he was about 8 feet away and could still feel the exhaust hard on his legs.

Thanks, dodge dude. IIRC my dad had some Thrush glasspacks on his old c10, they sounded pretty good with the 383 he had in it.

the oil pressure gauge on my 07' hemi definitely doesn't go crazy like that. It does move when going from idle to WOT but not like that.

I've been watching it and here's what I can tell:

Start up: 1500 rpm/ needle almost at max

Warmed up/Driving: needle alittle past midway

SOMETIMES when idling at a stoplight: 500 rpm/ needle half way between mid and low

It doesn't do it every time I stop, sometimes it stays at the middle. Every time it goes lower than mid, she's idling @ 500 rpm. Sometimes it idles at 600 rpm and the needle stays at middle. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything, she goes like stink and doesn't stutter or anything.

The dealer changed the oil before I bought it, checked the fluid levels when we got home; everything was good.

I know its not likely, but could the K&N drop in filter the PO put in be a possible suspect? its not a cai or anything, just a stock sized filter.

When it's cold, my pressure gauge is high, but once I let it warm up, it's at just above halfway. When I drive the bag off of it, however, it goes up to 3/4. But I don't notice any adverse affects.

Edit: I am running Mobil1 Synthetic now and it doesn't do it anymore.
