bought a hemi today...
got myself an early christmas present!
Traded in my 03 2dr/2wd/4.7 with 108k miles for an 07 4dr/2wd/HEMI with 76k miles.
I've wanted a quad cab with the 5.7 forever, but couldn't afford it when we bought our first Ram 4 years ago. Found her at a Toyota dealership! They put new Cooper tires on her, and loaded her up with gas for free. I did notice the oil pressure gauge has been all over the place today, from 1/2 between middle and low @ idle to damn near the max when accelerating; is that normal? Excuse my noobness, I'm a first time Hemi owner and wanna make sure my new beauty is good to go. Oh, I paid $14,900 if anyone cares. I'm going to attempt to add a pic below.

Thank you, hemi4109! I was going to crop that photo myself before posting here, but I forgot. I'm gonna have to get an aftermarket exhaust put on--that stock exhaust is too dang quiet!
thanks, dodgedude, I checked the oil level this morning and it was in the safe zone. I'll be keeping an eye on the pressure and oil level and try and to get the pressure checked manually as you suggested.
I heard somewhere that the 06+ gauges are more sensitive or they move more thna the 02-05's. Dunno if this is actually true or not. If I'm not mistaken you should be able to monitor that through the DRB with a programmer. See if it's the gauge or the sending unit.
