Definitely not. Think about it, you're adding turbulence. That'll make more noise.

On my Dakota, I stuck a chunk of black metal between the side mirror and the door, it cut down on the air whistling through the small channel back there.

I've considered doing that to mine, but the noise doesn't bother me nearly enough to justify the expense and time.

I have in channel window vents and they definitely stopped the buffeting. The wind noise is the same, plus I can have the windows open a bit when its raining without getting wet

which brand of window visors did you use? i like the idea of the channel ones.
