While the wife is away on business trip, I decided to get some new rims and tires for the truck. (I'll tell her I bought them used, the way my wife is she probably won't even recognize the change...lol) Haven't installed them yet, but am getting a 3 inch PA body lift next week. Am going to start blacking out the truck and thought these would be a good start.

 

looking good, I just bought myself some Fuel - Kranks, and some toyo AT II's for my truck. im keeping my self stock height though

A buddy of mine has that same combo on his Tundra. I'm not a big fan of the blacked out look, but I've seen a few that look classy and well done (his truck being one of them). Post pics once you get them put on and the lift installed.

 

The wheels are 20 inch Xd Monsters with +18 offset. The tires are 29565r20 Nitto Trail Grappler MT. They weigh a ton...Getting lift and tires put on on Tuesday. Can't wait. Will definitely post pics. Have some 1/4 inch wheel spacers ready if I need em...I have 30550r20 on now, so hopefully won't need em... There was an op called BeachBummer in the forums (or something like that). He had a Grey Ram with the same lift and wheel/tire combo. His truck looked amazing. Think it was written off in an accident. Trying to go for the same look. Just got in my tow mirrors and blacked out headlights. Going to install those after the lift and wheels go on. Also plan on blacking out the step bars with Rustoleum bedliner.

 

It will look good once you get them on. Post some pics when you do!

 

I think the blacked out look looks best with the grey colors. They go together really well and don't clash as bad as brighter colored vehicles do. Can't wait to see it finished.

Well...lift and tires are on...gotta say its a change. Love it actually. Will have to adjust brackets for step bars, they hung too low now with the lift on. Kinda like the look of the truck without them though. Still have to put on the tow mirrors and blacked out headlights. Hopefully this weekend. Also going to have the dual pipes dropping out the sides instead of coming out the back.
