Bullydog GT Hemi Plus
Just came in the mail today, #40430. Will try to install tomorrow and post back in a few days after I get a chance to try it out. There isn't a whole lot of info on this tuner, so any questions anybody has please post here and ask me. If anybody watches Stacey Davids Gearz, I think he is going to be installing the same tuner in his 4th gen ram called the "Drag-n-Wagon" on 04/27/13 . Stay tuned......
Well I installed it yesterday and have logged about 100 miles on the "regular" tune which is a step above stock and this is what I can say (though its still a little early in the "testing" stages)
The install was EASY, went smoothly
There is a noticeable power difference, especially in the low to mid range. It really pulls hard off the line. When I put my 14' enclosed construction trailer behind it there is a hill I travel often where the truck would always need to downshift, it doesn't need to anymore. The trans shifts firmer too. Also a pleasant surprise which I wasn't expecting is my fuel mileage seems to have increased. Now keep in mind I haven't logged enough miles to really have a strong opinion on this but as of now it appears to have gone up about 1.5-2 mpg. That is with a pen and paper, not the computer. Again, I want to log more miles before I can truly say that is what my increase is.
I opted for the pillar mount, and it looks factory. Very nice touch. One thing I like is how many different parameters I can monitor in real time, as well as all the different settings one can modify for each tune. Any questions just ask, otherwise I'll post back in a week or two after I can log more miles.

I have logged about 800 miles towing and not towing now with the programmer and this is what I can say:
MPG unloaded=Gained 2.6 average
MPG loaded with 14' 5000lb enclosed trailer=Gained 1.8
Its nice to be able to monitor in real time the trans temp, load, intake temp, etc. while I am towing. There is a noticeable power difference with the "regular" tune. Not dramatic, but enough for you to tell something changed, especially down low and midrange like I said before it pulls harder. When I tow I use this tune. Now for the performance ie the "Premium" tune: I would believe the 32 horse gain at the wheels that is claimed by Bullydog. It really becomes evident in how the truck acts in a strong headwind or on an incline. The only knock I have against it is how jumpy it makes the throttle, off the line especially-it will bark the tires pretty easy. And that is with a 2500 with 3.73's pushing 285's, so on a 1500 it would really want to take off like a bat outta hell. Some folks may like that I guess. Would I recommend it? Yes I would.

Hmm I'm impressed. I may have to switch over. My SC is starting to bore me and I never really felt much HP gains but 32 HP I would definitely feel. Keep us updated, especially with any other concerns
I've had my bully dog for a while and have t got it working. Whenever I'd get to the end it said "unlocking vehicle" and never left that screen. Anyone dealt with this? I think I'm doing something wrong with the update or whatever but any help would be appreciated. Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread

Cmon 08, you know 2.6 mpg gain is really unbelievable on a hemi, and 32 rwhp is just ridiculous. As much as we've discussed mileage on this site, you know that the only way to improve mileage on the Hemi's is not to drive it or drop it off of Mt Everest . These tuners that have screens for real time data, are more for prestige than for tuning, plus Bullydog made it's reputation on diesels, and now all of a sudden they have the best gas tuner out there. I have run both SC and DSP on my truck and those results he claims, are by far better than either. I'm not calling BS but this is pretty unbelievable to me IMO, not to mention it was done on a 2500
