I don't think I've ever seen an aluminum 5.7L Hemi block. They all have aluminum heads. The only aluminum Mopar blocks available are an oversize 426ci block and a 6.1L block. The 5.7's are iron like the production engines.
Direct from the Mopar catalog:

HEMIŽ, GEN III

Hemi Gen III Aluminum Blocks are 100 pounds lighter than 6.1L production cast
iron blocks! They are designed to accommodate all parts from a 6.1L Hemi Gen III
engine.

yea I looked that up and seen that to so I could be wrong but the block looks identical to the heads and upper a-arms which are aluminum. I also have a friend who's a mechanic that said the block was aluminum.

Looks like a stock block to me...Iron.
Are you sure your not looking at the head itself and not the covers?

Looks like a complete stocker. Maybe looking at the front cover and thinking it's the block?
