That is one of the worst I've seen. LMC is now making ABS plastic replacement dash boards now for these trucks and the 2nd gens.
You don't have to go to Mopar for a dash....

It's the EPA's fault. It really is. The plastics changed and the supplier Dodge used, used a sub-par plastic. The main problems were starting in 98. Now, many 94-97 trucks had the problem, but there are also plenty that didn't. My sister's 97 is one of them.
I just had to replace the main part of my dash today. 2 yrs ago, the vent section cracked on me. So I went,on and bought both pieces. Installed the vent section, left the other piece in the plastic in the box in my garage. 2 years, but it finally cracked. Just finished putting it on, letting it dry now.
So glad mine isn't cracked yet. My ex's 02 had so many cracks. Mine has a little bit of fading from what looks like someone using it as a brace while sitting in the bitch seat but that's it. Glad to know theres a good replacement out there just in case.
