That looks awesome.

Wish I could get one for my dad's truck. It rattles so damn much.

Yeah I had to remove even more dash during the install. See photo set #3? That piece just above the vent barley connected? That's gone.

Ugh. What is holding it down? Silicone?

I have taken some of the loose plates in my dad's dash and glued them together so they don't rattle as much. :\

The kit comes with silicone, which I tried at first, but due to the condition of the dash I couldn't get it to line up and stay lined up while the silicone set up. So I pulled it off, cleaned all the silicone from the dash and dash cap (pain in the ***) and used industrial strength permanent 3M double sided tape. around the edges of the cap (well, installed onto the dash where the edges of the cap rest.)

What broke it to begin with?

Time. Dodge used a terrible mix of plastics for the dashboards. Most brands will experience a dash crack, but dodge is terribly notorious for it.

^Yep.
That is one of the worst I've seen. LMC is now making ABS plastic replacement dash boards now for these trucks and the 2nd gens.

It's weird how some of them crack terribly and some do not at all ...unless you touch it, that is. The plate by the windshield is especially irritating, it's made of plastic that cracks "better" than wheat thins.

Thanks for the pictures.
I presume it is cheaper than replacing the dash with mopar pieces.

Hmm that's sad. You'd think for a area to have high exposer to UV rays they would beef that area up. My durango has a leather or imitation leather dashboard. Nothing aerospace 303 can't help with
