Most of these guys mod their trucks, so if the truck is all stock, you'll have to disregard most of those figures...
My Truck: 2008 dodge Ram 1500 QC 4x4 w/3:92 gears.
My window sticker says 13/17 and that is with an MDS engine which an '03 does NOT have. So I would assume 12/16 is what previous years would have been rated.
When my truck was completely stock...Iif I went super easy(nobody does unless you own a Prius or ar 70yrs old) I would get 13/17 just as advertised. But driving normally like most of use do, 12/16 was about the norm. i would average 14mpgs
If you do more city, your gonna be leaning to the 12 side. If it's all highway, you's be up to 16.
If you drive hard, heavy footed, you probably will be around 10-11 city and 14-15 on the highway.

I think you'll find the more you drive it, your not going to get any better than what it was rated from the factory.
