Personally, I prefer the Magnaflow, or the Flowmaster super 40. Both sound really good IMO. Don't cut out your cats, I did it like two years ago and about after six months regretted it. It's too loud and I have no idea how to go about fixing it.

Speaking as someone with a 4.7, the flowmaster 40 sounds sweet on mine, but I'm told the baffled design can reduce flow.

Go with single chamber or a ''bullet' type muffler. And I agree with the guy above don't gut ur cats for louder sound. Might actually worsen the flow of the exhaust. Here's the setup Im running now check it out!

When I did my exhaust on my 08 5.7, I went true dual 2.25 with BBK shorty headers, X pipe, magna flow mufflers and dual cut outs. It had a low rumble around town but when I wanted loud i hit the switch and let the hemi scream. I ditched the resonators and disabled the MDS, I had zero drone in the cab. I loved it, although it was a little spendy.
