Unhappy The end of an era

Old Big Red is finally gone!!!

I can easily say that for over 10 years it has brought me nothing but joy and good times but I felt if I was ever gonna sell it, it was now or never if I was going to still get good money for it.

I ended up taking $15,300 for it and kept the winch and toolbox off of it. I can safely say the new owner is getting one hell of a truck I'm sure will give many years of hard use and pleasure for him.

I am now the proud owner of a new 2014 Ram 2500 CTD 4x4!!!

Don't fret though, I've had a 2nd Gen, a 3rd Gen and now a 4th Gen and I have always continued to lurk in the 2nd Gen section, so I'll continue to haunt THIS section as well.

It was dark tonight when I got my new Ram home, but keep your eye in the 4th Gen section for pics in the next few days.

Oh and if there were any every doubt, yes I will be modding the new truck in the upcoming months, LOL...

I totally understand. I've had my truck for nine years, now. Perhaps it's just the fact that I haven't seen it for nearly two months while it is on a boat somewhere between Germany and Hawaii, but I've recently become smitten with the brand new GMC trucks. I don't see that happening, though, for a variety of reasons (another couple years of payments is the prime factor, honestly). As much as I am a Dodge guy, the 4th gen just doesn't do it for me, personally. Great trucks, but they just don't excite me the way the 3rd gen or some other makes do. Personal preference, of course. I look forward to seeing your new addition. Glad your truck went to someone you know that will continue to care for it the way you have and not just traded in to a dealer somewhere to be auctioned off.

Congrats. At work, we mow make all of North America's Cummins valve springs. Not sure if ours got to your engine or not. We just inherited a bunch of new part numbers.

Yeah, got $15,300 for the truck. Traded my little '13 Hyundai in which combined with the cash for the truck gave me right at $29,000 to put down so the payments on the new CTD are very manageable.

Crappy pic of new truck I took tonight after work:
