Lightbulb 03 Headlight Swap To Late 3rd Gen

Hey Guys and Gals,
I have been thinking about converting from the bubbled headlights to the bigger flat bottom headlights. I know that I will need to replace the fenders and of course the new headlight "case". But how much of a pain is it to convert the wiring on my 2003 to run the later 3rd gen headlights, or do I even need to change anything to use these headlight?
Thanks in advance!!

Have a look at rockauto.com ... compare the headlight sockets... looks like they're different, so you'll need to cut and splice or maybe you can pull the front harness out of the jard and convert yours over if the rest of the harness has the same connectors.

The top bumper cover is different as well.. It is flat, without the cutouts for the bug eyes on the pre 06 trucks.

Google is your friend, these conversions have been done (and write-ups made) since 2006.

The 06-08 lights look much better with the black background vs the OEM all chrome look. I'll try to get a couple of pics of my 08 tomorrow.
