Default EGR replacement or not

Hey Ya'll 08 4.7 don't drive it a lot...I'm curious if I shold replace my egr valve & pvc valve for just maintaince reasons because I have no check eng. lights. smooth idle
runs really good I have 132k mpg is about 12-14 city was getting 21 hwy few years ago... now..17 hwy.
planning to flush brake lines & change oil(1k under reg maint) next few days. I do have to replace both my power steering lines pressure line has a lot of sludge on it
I'm a cross roads any thoughts on egr & pvc would be appreciat it. Thx

PVC valve is a maintenance item somewhat, though most rarely do it. At that mileage its not a bad idea. As far as EGR I wouldn't worry about it unless its giving you faults, it really provides nothing to the engine, just EPA requirements. the 4.7 flopped back and forth between EGR and non EGR through its lifetime.

PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) lol.....PVC (poly vinyl chloride) is a plastic.
PCV actually has a maintenance interval. For 2008 4.7's it's inspect every 90k miles or 90 months, replace if necessary. When you remove it, if you shake it and can hear the check ball moving freely then it is still functional. Up to you if you want to just go ahead and replace it.
EGR run to fail.

TY for the reply...thinking about it the pvc since I already had it for awhile...what do you think about cleaning the map??
noy sure if it has a maf..I have searched high and low cant tell...

not sure if it has a maf??

Thx for the reply...does it have a maf??? search high and low...I even looked at my 08 shop manual 10950 pages.. wasn't able to find it

MAP sensor doesn't need cleaned. Nothing should be getting in there, it operates off of vacuum. Don't think it has a MAF sensor....

I see a a lot of youtube saying it(map) can be cleaned and i didn't think it has a MAF.... being that this truck runs very smothe..I was just trying to see
how to gain 2-3 mpg more if poss. Thx
