03 Ram Hemi hard starting after Taylor short wire install.
Well i installed my taylor shorty wires..no my truck doesnt want to start... i have to tap the gas to get it to fire. It may be a damn coincodent but i have a problem reguardless.
Problem is if truck sits longer than 10 minutes. It will not want to start...just cranks and cranks and cranks... if i tap the gas or feature it..it starts.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mods Shorty Taylor wires , Superchips , Exhaust (flowmaster) and Mopar Performance Intake.

Those little boogers can be HARD to snap on completly. Make sure each and every one of "both ends" gets a full snap/click when you press it on.
I checked em all the seem to be all pushed on quit well. I dont see any drivabily problems. Just doesnt like to start the longer it sits..the hard it is to start.
HOLD UP!! i had the same probelm a month ago when i did mine. missfired like crazy and no power once you got into the gas. The pcm wasnt throwing codes either. CHANGE The plugs!! my plugs where tost. the xtra resistance by the long wires (my theroy) caused the ****ty worn plugs to still be able to operate well enough but the added spark of the shorties jkust finished them off. Im no scientist but i thought i had a different engine after changeing the plugs. (good thing) and ya those wires are a pain to get them to snap on. i highly recomend double checking them as well AFTER a plug swap
Oh and also reset the PCM. your changing the ignition up a bit and the truck has got to learn

Yeah, I ran into the same problem. I just changed my plugs yesterday (boy THAT was fun...). Made doubly sure the wires clicked in, then once done reconnected the battery. Trained the throttle, then started it. Roared right to life, stumbled a bit, then smoothed out. This morning, roared right up.

Put purple Taylor shorties on mine and new champion coppers gapped at .045 Starts up and revs up hard to 3k then falls down to 500 or so then stalls. How do I retain the throttle??

I believe that turn the key to run, wait until the chime quits, then slowly press the throttle to the floor then slowly let it back up.Turn the key off, then start the truck. You may also want to take the throttlebody off and clean it if it hasn't been done in awhile. Sometimes the buildup around the throttle blade can cause it to stick and not respond fast enough causing it to die at low rpm's
