Kinda disappointed, yesterday. Got my Superchips programmer and through the downloading process, I noted that there doesn't appear to be anything to change shift points or firmness, on the 4.7 1500 series Ram.

Did I miss something? Can someone chime in?

Nice part is the Data reader and list of the Dodge codes that comes with it, allowing me to check and diagnose all my own codes, if there are any.

I have the Superchips Flashpaq and I asked "Ron" @ Superchips on the Flashpaq HEMI forum about the shift firmness for the Rams. He said when downloading the Performance 91 tune with 93 octane that the shift firmness is already adjusted to the hardest point while remaining safe. He also said if you want it to shift harder, it would require hard parts in the tranny to be changed.

Excellent answer. Thank you kindly. I'm only running the 87 octane program at this time, as the tank's full of 87 and the 91-92 octance programming made the truck ping. Once it's near empty, I'll redownload the other performance program and try it again.

Thank you.

I noticed an improvement of approx 60 miles/ tank (34 gallon but usually only have to put in 28). It really doesn't make up for the differance in price, but my cost/ mile only diminished slightly, so I stick with it... ideally it is cleaner and better performance.

Oh sadly me too, my cai and exhaust seemed to do same thingsince the wife wanted to know why all this new stuff that was "supposed" to help with the mpg almost slashed it in half! BUT when and if I do baby the hemi I do get a bit better mph. Most of the time that is for the first couple of miles after stopping at the gas pump and getting that personal loan.
