RE: new truck Hemi or not to hemi
A Hemi will pass anything on the Highway but a gas station..No lie. If you have money to burn then it's ok, But if you live in a area where you do a lot of stop and go traffic think twice about the Hemi. I get 16 mpg at 55 miles per hour if I don't have a lot of stops but if I have to drive locally I'm lucky to get 12 MPG .04 Quad cab 4x4 Hemi ThunderRoad. with 17 inch tires and a 3.55 rear ..

Well I almost got the Hemi, but didn't, do I wish I had, not really. I just took a 500 mile trip and averaged 23 MPG on the highway at 70mph (hand calculated) and didn't have a problem at all, I usually average about 17-19 in town. Not to mention I towed 4200lbs 1600 miles and still averaged 13/14 MPG. Of course if I had it all to do again...I'd go CTD.......
