Im new to the forums, I have a 40 series welded to my stock piping, nice low rumble, I have an '02 5.9 quad cabsport, i was wondering if the pacesetter long tube headers will bolt up wiith no clearance issues since they are only listed for the 2nd gen rams

Hey - here's my experience... [2006 Ram 1500 QC 5.7 HEMI]
I have a Flowmaster 50. Straight 3 inch pipe to the muffler (chopped off both resonators). My set-up is *very* LOUDwith the windows down, but when the windows are up it's not too bad, when i'm on the gas...and higher RPMs it literallySCREAMS. I do hate the drone when cruising at low speeds at about 1500-1800 rpm. But, overall, i definitely would not want it any louder.
I recently added a True Flow intake and it did not seem to increase noise (FYI in case anyone is interested).
Also, a friend of mine has the same truck w/ the Flowmaster 40 and it makes a popping sound when he revs it.. sounds ghetto IMO... the 50 does NOT do this.
When i got this the muffler guy said most people put 40's on their trucks, but that the 40 was made for cars and for a large engine like the HEMI he said the 50 or 50 HD would work best since they were made for trucks (not sure of the accuracy of that)
I would recommend the Flowmaster 50 (not HD) and cut off both front and back resonators if your goal is Loud as possible outside, quiet as possible inside the cabin...
