I think I'm going to be trying the banks monster exhaust. My buddy has it on his titan and it just sounds viscious. Although, im afraid after the MDS kicks in what it will sound like. Nice to know my logic wasn't faulty since I was thinking about it before I found this forum. Did all Hemi Rams in '06 come with MDS or was it just an option? I'm not even sure if I have it...

I went to a local shop and talked to the guy. i have an 05 Ram QC with the 4.7. Not sure what you guys are talking about with the 3 catalytic converters. I watched the guy do mine and all I have is a single converter in the pipe coming off of the manifolds on both sides. But they also don't do emissions inspections where I'm at.
Anyway, went and talked to a local muffler guy and he said for the best sound, and most flow to cut the Y-pipe running up to both manifolds where they come together and run a dual in-dual out muffler. So, thats what I had him do. It runs through a stainless Dynomax muffler and sounds unreal (especially coming out of a 4.7). Than I added a Volant Cold Air Kit and it made it REALLY loud. I wouldn't say unbareable inside the truck, but definitey obnoxious outside the truck. But it looks great too.
On the performance side, I'm not sure, but I can feel a significant increase in power and I'm sure fuel mileage (as soon as I'm tired of hearin git anyway). If I had to guess at a horsepower increase for the two, I'd say at least 15-20HP. Really feel a difference when you get on itin howit pulls.

Ok, I read all the post and thought I had made a good decision. I have a 2005 Ram 1500 Quad cab with the 4.6 engine. I put the Flowmaster 40 1 in 2 out duals on. I left the resonator on in front of the Flowmaster. It sounds great except in the cab at around 1800 to 1900 rpm's Then its very loud in the cab (drone?)... Anyone else have this issue with this setup?
