this thing supposedly has 230 HP and i cant get the back tires to break loose from a dead start? i know the goodyears arent that damn sticky. what the hell is wrong with my truck. if im at a stand still and mash the pedal it just drives off, doesnt really accelerate hard til i hit 20 mph, and i cant "peel out."


fyi: its an '07 qc with the 4.7, 1700 miles brand damn new!

 

It's too heavy to really chirp the tires to be honest.....especially with the weak 4.7L in it....

Should have gota cummins . You dont have enough low end torque to chirp the tires. To put it simply, SUCKS FOR YOU

 

Chirping the tires is fun, but let's be honest, it wasnt the sole reason you bought the truck. You've got a good truck, and you're part of one of the largest truck families in the USA.....so dont worry so much.....besides.....

yeah, i dont have anything to haul or tow, no need for a cummins. with gas prices the way they are, and no real need for a hemi, i got what i got. im sure the CAI and Flowmaster i have lined up will help some with the throttle respsonse. hell it does great passing at highway speeds, no complaints there. i would just like a little more umph off the stop sign!

 

Just power-brake it up to about 1500rpm and it will light them up.

 

I tow very seldom with mine and it is my daily driver. I put the miles on it and will probably trade it for a new one in a year or 2. It gets much better gas milage than the hemi so I am tickled pink. I am sure though with the price difference between the engine you can serioulsy mod yours to smoke the tires.
