I am really **** and want to know what tint people have found that the shade of itmatches the stock back windows. I know its about 20% tint but that doesnt mean the shade of tint i get will match perfect. Please dont mention stuff like walmart tint and do it yourself cheapo tint as this will be getting done professionally. Is Solargaurd close? How about Llumar? Please help as I really dont want to go around buying different tint jobs to see which is close as it has to really be installed and dry to tell.

I did a search but couldnt find this ino so yes I do know how the search feature works =)

Llumar 15% iswhat I had on my old truck. It was pretty close. A little more grey then black.



I have 20% on this truck and you can see the difference.

 

I'm getting Llumar on Thursday, I'll let you know. It will be lighter, I can only go to 35% I believe to be legal here in FL. I had Llumar on my Avalanche and it was slightly lighter but the color matched closely. Remember, most states require the front side windows to be lighter than the rear and rear side windows.

 

had 15% johnson put over rear windows. matches the limo dark on back glass.

 

Just had mine done with llumar done today with 35%, lighter but it does match pretty close. Th etint guy said the rest of the windows were about 20% but I wanted to stay legal.

 

When I got my windows tinted, I asked the guys to match the reartint. They told me the factory tint is 15%.

 

This is 20%, andlike RaiderJay said you can see the difference, should have gone 15% but anything more than 35% is illegal for me.

Well I talked to a Llumar tint guy today and he said that the back windows are actually 18% but he sad the Llumar 15% matches it perfectly. Getting it done omarrow morning, god i hope its perfect like he says. Either way it feels weird having the fronts tinted darker then the rears.[&:]

You're right, but the guy that was doing it told me that 15% was going to be darker, and like you said, I know that I didn't want the fronts darker. I've just learned to have to deal with it for now, but the **** guy in me is planning on trying to get itredone after I get a few other things scratched off my wish list..
