2005 Dodge Ram Power Wagon Information:
Hello All, First time Dodge guy here. I used to have Fords. So far, extremely satisfied. I picked up my '05 Power Wagon last night. It's the black, regular cab. I just wanted to say hi. I would also like to know how to figure out what number my Power Wagon is. I know they are sequentially numbered but I cannot find a tag or anything on it. By the way, with 114 miles on the clock I am getting 11.4 mpg.
thanks,
Abrams

Just as a reminder ... here's mine from a previous post:

I would also like to know what number mine is. BTW ... My highway mileage is 14 mpg. I haven't checked the city miles yet. I've got 3,200 miles on the beast right now.

I absolutely love this truck! My only question is : Will a snow plow go on with the winch up there? That will be the deal maker or breaker. With this employee pricing thing being extended, I'm almost definitely getting a new truck in the next month.
New to Dodge. Drove by a dealer yesturday and had to stop, Just traded in my Yukon and bought a '05 black powerwagon quad cab. Love the truck, have it in for the spray in bed liner, hard top bed cover, limo tints all the way around, and dual exhaust(out the sides behind rear wheels at angle). I'll post pics when I get it back and figure out how to post them on the internet.
I just bought one three weeks ago. It gets better gas mileage than my crappy Chevy Silverado 2500HD did and that was 2WD.
I don't know why everyone worries about mpg, just go out and have fun.

From what I understand, it's the last 4 digits of your VIN number. Mine is #2395.

Actually the H2 is built on the Tahoe/Yukon/Denali/Escalade platform but has the HD suspension components from the truck lines and is really a pretty good off-road machine...where you can fit it(JEEPS will always rule). BUT why in the world would you spend $60,000 on an H2 when you could spend $40,000 on a real truck like the powerwagon with the possibility of getting mileage over 9 MPG and have a bed too. Only reason I think this way is because I have taken an H2 offroad and was pretty suprised, it will climb a 45+ degree hill at 1200 rpm with no problem at all and you would be suprised how sideways it will tilt without falling over. But I would rather still have a PowerWagon.

anyhow jeeps are small and will therefore "go further". The h2's are ok but i think new owners often try to push them as far as the jeeps and they arent up to the task. the powerwagon is a great stock platform, lockers on both axles means you will now be able to get into some serious trouble.
I wheeled the snot out of my jeep stock before i lifted it and when i went to lockers fornt and rear, the wanring i got was the one i just told you, you can get in alot deeper! I dont forsee the powerwagon on a lot of the trails here in the east. their just too tight. i have been on trails in my cherokee where a grand cherokee (94-98 models) took 5 spotters to fit it through.
what are you looking to do with it? its a nice truck and worth checkingout but i dont think i would wnat it as my primary offroader.
