Default RE: 2005 Dodge Ram Power Wagon Information:

I've had my 2005 Power Wagon for about a little over a month now,and I love everything about it.Expecially the 12,000 pound winch,i've already had to pull a couple small trucks out of the mud.still waiting for a challenge.I have yet to take it in the mud though,I cant wait to see what those 33's can do.I'm getting 14.3 mpg on the highway doing 65 with 3k miles on it.

Default Thinking of running 37s, anyone think it'll work?

I am going to try and run 37s on my Powerwagon... Not sure they'll fit, but I am encouraged by 2 things-

1) I cut a piece of 2x4 into exactly a 12" length and duct taped it across the tread of the front tire. I then jacked the tire off the ground about 8" and turned it by hand while my wife moved the steering wheel back and forth. It only rubbed on the control arms a little bit, but a true 37x12.50 wouldn't be 12" wide at the tread. Anyway, I could always run a spacer for a while if I had to.

2) Anyone seen Kroeker off road's website? He built a pretty much stock 2003 Cummins 2500 and ran it in the Baja 1000. Anyway, his suspension components are amazing and they only give about 2.5" of lift. He ran 37s with no problem (in Baja... I am pretty sure they would have rubbed there if anywhere) Plus he ran 'em on stock wheels.

What do you guys think?

By the way, 2900 miles on the clock and I still love it.

Abrams.

...

My Mach 1 is in the shop right now getting the heads ported, polished, milled, and a tripple angle valve job. Also putting in some Sean Hyland Motorsports Stage I cams. So what do I put in the monthly Hooter's Car Show ??? My '78 CJ-5 and my Power Wagon. They both won 1st place plaques !!!

There aren't many Power Wagons around here and people were oogling all over it all day. Sitting in among the other trucks, many of which were lowered and "pimped", the Power Wagon and the Jeep really stood out as the stud trucks of the show.

The spectators and judges were all very impressed.

I was wondering if the 2005 Power Wagons have had any major problem? Also does anyone know if there will be more Power Wagons made in 2006 than 2005, or is it limited production?
Thanks

Does anybody know what it would take to make my 3/4 ton the same height front/rear as the Power Wagon? I am in the process of gettin the wheels/tires and fender flares and adjustable bilsteins.

1.8 inch in front and 1.2 inch in the rear, I believe. But why bother? I mean get a 3 in. lift and fit 35's if you're buying tires AND rims. You have the 4.10 gear right? I hope. 4.56 gear would do better but the 4.10 would work.

Just my .02

FYI I got the wagon for the axles. And the winch is nice too, but one day it will have 38's. [sm=yeahsmile.gif]

I live in Winston Salem NC, I bought my Powerwagon the week before Thanksgiving.....WOW!!!! What a truck, I traded my '01 OFF ROAD for it,I liked that truck, but no comparison to this one.....2400 miles so far, and mine is red also....the only one they had left,my local dealer only got 3 of them.
I'd post a picture, but I am not sure how to do that?....anyone help

Hi, New to the Forum and I was wondering if the 37's fit? on the Power Wagon? I was going to put 35's on but 37's would be better and not that much more $$$.

Any other Power Wagons going to be at Terra Del Sol? I'm going down there with my 4x4 club (SLO4WHEELERS) They are bringing mostly built Jeeps . I'm hoping there will be some more P.W.'s out there to give the jeeps a little competition
