doesnt sound like it. but anyone could neglect their finish...for instance this past winter there was about a month in which i could not at the minimum wash the salt off my truck because of all the ice and snow....was it neglected this winter, yes, did i do what i could when i could, yes i tried....sounds like your taking the right steps though, and i think you already knew that...as for the chamois, i like to air dry my truck, but if i dont have time, or the weather isnt right for it, sure, i love chamois but dont rub your truck with it, set it even on your finish and pull the corners in the direction you want to dry, slowly. i also really like silicone blades
