RE: Sirius still working after trial has expired.
I am looking to get this head unit but I’m not completely sure if it will fit or if it will take more than just the factory navigation bezel.

That headunit looks pretty sweet .. although a bit out of my pricerange. My Sirius is a plug and play box I dont have it integrated with the factory radio. I believe that if you call Sirius and give them your VIN they can lookup your SID (Sirius ID) ... although I don't know if I would do that if I was getting free Sirius, lol.

I have had both Sirus and XM and I have to say that I prefer Sirius leaps and bounds ahead of XM as far a music goes. I am a classic rock / hair metal fan. Although I will say that I do miss the MLB. Oh well .. that's why they have two!

'Hair Nation" on Sirius away hands down.
When I got my new Ram with the free Sirius trial I went back to give Sirius a try and I could not believe they were still playing the Same Poison, Winger, Dokken, Etc Etc Etc songs from a year earlier.
I think their library is so small compared to XM.
I was amazed when I first got XM how many bands I had never heard before and tracks that were much deeper in the albums you would never hear on Sirius.
Plus like others said the sound Quality is so much better.
Anyway just my opinion[/align]

Exactly ... your opinion ... that is why there are two services! ... I hear you where Sirius maybe has a smaller music library, however most of the songs and bands that they play on the Bone Yard I do not care for. I do not dislike the Bone Yard, I just happen to prefer Hair Nation. If I want to listen to a bunch of forgotten bands and b-sides I usually switch to a CD. But as you said, just my opinion and that is why America is great!

Ok, Never done this before---so here it goes

After several edits---I think I got the hang of it.
The USB port alows you to plug in portable storage media--in the pic you can see a 1 Gig thumb drive. You can load mp3's wma's etc. etc on it and use it as you would a burned disc. I really don't know yet just how much you can store on one of these, but just a guess, at least 2 cd's worth, maybe 3. I'm sure someone here can give us better detail. I'm pretty OLD SCHOOL-I used to have an 8-track in my first car--if that gives you any idea.
You can't see it, but I installed the mic for the phone (Blue Tooth) in the overhead console
