Default MPG Increase w/Exhaust ***Update w/Pic***

I posted earlier about my new exhaust system, with the 40 series and pipes out the back angled out at the corners. Well I just got done with my first tank since and I got right at 356 miles on that last tank. Previously I was just getting 305 or so. I will post again on my next fill up. I also got a CAI coming so that might change it some more too. I will post results when I got some more info....

Save your money on the CAI, had mine on for 6 months and took it off and increased my gas mileage by about 2 mpg. the exhaust really doesn't do much cause you hit the gas so you can hear it rumble.

I drive pretty normal. It sounds good at just about any throttle level, so I havent really been in the gas too much. I have done some. I dont drive over 70 a lot, and usually in the 50-60mph range.

3:55 gears 265-70-17s 5sp OD I would love to see 18-20mpg, but with out the MDS I dont think that is going to happen.I am actually about to get something that will get me close to 40MPG,

A honda Civic.....ha ha ha. Just to go back and forth to work in......Ha ha ha.

I put a K&N CAI in my truck and gas mileage was unaffected (neither + or -) and I don't think I'm getting anywhere near the 9-12 HP gain that K&N claims.
However it REALLY woke up my dual exhaust -- sounds awesome and added a few db's without a doubt. So, it EAR dyno's much higher, anyway.
My buddy has a '98 Chevy (yea, I know), and got a CAI with a much longer tube (the filter actually sits almost down in the tire well and came withan air deflector for behind the grill to direct much cooler air to it) - I think it's an AEM. He is claiming like a 3mpg increase. This is undoubtably a better setup than most other's, like mine, that are taking much hotter air from closer to the engine.
So, if you have not ordered yours yet, you may want to look into this type of setup.

Oh, and Phatboy, do something about those gears. It's criminal for Chrysler to put 3.55's in a Hemi...
My opinion stock tires to 34's = 4.10's, 35's & up = 4.56's.
Hemi + 3.55's = POO POO...

I didnt know 3.55 was a factory option. I have 20" rims so the lowest i could go was 3.92 but I wanted 3.73 but the dealership said it was a no go which i understood.. But again i dont tow anything besides a couple of quads

I would have to check, I read on a post that the number on the sticker isnt always what you got, I think I have an email from DC somewhere with the entire build sheet, I will dig it up to make sure.
