So how hard is it to park your Ram?
Hey everyone,
How is the turning radius in the Ram? Do you find it difficult to park in real world situations? IS it tooooo big to fit in normal spaces? How ahbout you long bed guys, is it much harder for you?
Thanks,
Zack

Just back it in. To park by front in is a PIA, usually 3 tries if you have cars next to the space. Long beds yous OL.
Just make sure that you pull out enough before you make your turn. I found out the hard way and hit the car next to me.

If you are not used to driving a long vehicle then it may be a problem.
I only have problems if people hog the parking slot line. But I don't park close anymore. It takes more time looking for a close spot then fitting in the slot. I just go to the rear of the parking lot and walk. I normaly make it in the building quicker then the person hunting a close spot.

Back it in, and you have no problems. Assuming that you can handle a large truck.
I too usually just park in the back of lot and laugh at those that stay waiting for someone to leave a closer spot.

It can be a challenge, especially since it appears that, in order to save $$$ and create more parking spaces, most parking lots have slots built for an MG rather than a full-size truck or SUV. I tend to park away from other vehicles if possible, but at work I have an assigned space, so sometimes its a tight fit.
As said above by eltupac, just make sure you pull out some before turning. Otherwise you may be in for some body work.

I think having 4wd widens the turning radius, too.
With my 4x4 Mega Cab, I usually do what others have mentioned. I park further out where there are a couple of spots together, or even better, somewhere that I can just pull through.
Many times the rows are too close together to make backing in easy.

It's just all practice. You should not be afraid to park anywhere. The turning is pretty tight and fairly easy to park. As mentioned above, people tend to park near the white line and then there is no room for the truck to fit. But parking is fairly easy. Red

I have 4 wheel driveand i guess parkign is in my blood. people have seen me parallel park then come up to me and be like **** man howdid you do that?? regular parking no prob either.
No matter where I go I've found that's it's easier to park "bone out" (Local slang for for backing into a parking space). I know I could've said backing in but "bone out" just sounds cooler.
