It was so weird I was messing around with my truck when I hit the Lock on my factory alarm switch....(given Ive only had the truck about 3 weeks!!)...I hit it three times and woo and behold the truck started..... What the FU$*....it scared the S*i$ out of me...I got in and hit the brake and everything shut off....has anybody else run into this...did the previous owner have this put on from the factory?????.....Try it out......

i have an '02 and have hit the lock button many times and never had this happen...

did you buy it used.. and did the dealer just not know about a remote start installed prior to them getting it? or are you smokin the good stuff? if you are pls share.....

Nope...no good stuff today.....but I guess the dealer overlooked it...thats bad ***!.... So this was something the previous owner put in....ie not from the factory?!?!?! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

 

sounds like the other owner added an after market remote starter probably (valet 551t made by dei) it works with three positive pulses. which explains why you have to hit lock three times he saved you $229.95

its a seprate unitthat is probably under the drivers dash it should like an alarm brain(small black box)

 

i live in alaska and autostarts are hot up here... seeing as how you should let your car warm up in sub freezing weather....

anyway... Ive got the Clifford 3.5 alarm/autostart .... $500 rig .. got it for $145.... gotta love Best Buy as a second job...
