I need some info from someone that knows allot about the DODGE Motor platforms. I have been told that I can get the parts I am looking for if.......my motor is a 318/340/360 LA series? Can any one tell me how i can figure this out or if all of them are like this that year??

My truck motor is a 2002 RAM 1500 non hemi

Well.... heres what i'm thinkin... someones confused...But.... the "318".... 5.2 Litre V8..... One of Chryslers best engines in my mind....Not sure what the 340 is.. But i know the 360..... The extremly thirsty 5.9 Litre V8.... I do belive however.... that the 5.9... was still available in 02....But also in 02... if i'm not mistaken... the "Hemi" was avalable in 02... So may this shine sum lite on sumitn shiny....

Hemi was not available for the 2002 model year. It replaced the 360 (5.9) midway through 2003.

I'll agree to that! Mostly because I have a '02 with the 360. It was the first year for the 4.7 but the HEMI was the CRAZE for the 2003 model year. Maybe I'm a litle partial but I still like the 360 over the 5.7. Someone once told me "There's no replacement for displacment!" But I'm sure someone w/ a hemi will prove me wrong.

 

I got an 07 Hemi...But I still really like the 318 and the 360.... I wanted the 360.. But they stoped making it...
