Bully Dog Gas Programer for the 2007 Dodge Ram Hemi
Turned on the computer this afternoon and my Bully Dog downloader said there was and update to my performance programmer for the 2007 Ram Hemi, yea right. Down loaded the update went to the garage to update my truck and when finished the truck would not start, could not reinstall back to factory programming or nothing. All it would do is ding-ding when the key was turned to the start position. Called tow truck to pickup and deliver to dealer for repairs to computer. Hope this will be covered under warranty because the dealer was told the truck wouldn’t start this morning…Any Idea what happened????
Um... call the Bull Dog company and let them know what is going on. There is no way that the truck will be covered under the dealer's warranty...

If what you wrote is the exact procedure that you followed for the update, then there is a problem. You first need to return your truck to stock with the programmer, then update it using the update manager, then reprogram the truck to the tune you wish to have. If you forgot to return the truck to stock before the update, then when you went to reprogram with the update, it saved the tune you had installed as the stock program, uploaded the new tune using the settings from a tune other than stock and messing your system up. The bad news is that the dealer will check to see what happened to the program. You can only hope that the programmer messed your system up so much that it is not noticed. Good luck
if thats the case im glad i read this post before i did something of the sort with my truck. good news for him is that dodge is able to recover the cpu and re-flash it. maybe he will get lucky and get a cool tech that will just reprogram it under warranty.
I had a similar experience with my truck when I installed my superchip flashpaq. I was told that it had to be the starter that was the problem and not the superchip. I reset my computer by removing the positive terminal on the battery to get it to start again. It did this twice or 3 times, the no start thing, and now it has not done that for almost 2 months so I am thinking it was some sort of initial program conflict. While the professionals at superchips were claiming it was my starter, I think they need to lay off the mushrooms.
